On investment

JMC Writing Services works on project-based scopes. Investment varies by the scope and depth of research involved — a practice that serves a single highly specific population requires more discovery work than a general-practice website.

Scope and investment are confirmed in the proposal, after the discovery call. There are no surprise fees.

How we work together

The process, plainly stated

Every project is built around understanding your practice before writing a single word. Here is what that looks like in practice.

Discovery & research

Every project starts with a deep dive into your practice — your methods, your values, the language your ideal clients use when they're trying to name what's wrong, and what makes you the right fit for them. This is the work that separates copy that converts from copy that just sounds nice.

First draft

The first draft arrives with a brief that explains the thinking behind each choice — the language decisions, the structural choices, the specific phrases that came from your clients' own words. You should understand why every sentence is there.

Revision & refinement

All packages include at least one round of revisions. Feedback is welcomed directly — you know your practice better than anyone, and good copy is always a collaboration. The goal is a final draft that sounds like you, only clearer.

Delivery & handoff

Final copy is delivered in a format you can use immediately — typically Google Docs, with clear page and section structure. If you need guidance on implementation, that's included in the handoff conversation.

Common questions

If you don't see your question here, it's a good reason to start a conversation.

Do you work with therapists who are also coaches, or just one or the other?

Both. The distinctions between therapy and coaching are meaningful clinically, but what JMC cares about is ethical, trauma-aware marketing — and that applies equally across both. If you hold a clinical license and run a practice, or if you offer coaching grounded in a mental health framework, you're likely a good fit.

What does 'trauma-aware copywriting' actually mean?

It means the copy is written with care for how people in distress read, process, and respond to language. That includes avoiding fear-based hooks, avoiding false urgency, choosing language that offers recognition rather than diagnosis, and writing calls to action that feel like an invitation rather than pressure. It's not a style choice — it's a values-based practice.

Will you write copy for therapists who specialize in a specific modality I'm not familiar with?

Yes. Part of the research process is understanding your specific modality, framework, or population — and part of the service is translating that into client-facing language without oversimplifying it. You don't need to make your work simpler. You need copy that meets clients where they are.

How long does a project typically take?

A single page takes roughly one to two weeks from discovery call to final delivery. A full website suite typically takes three to five weeks. Timeline is confirmed in the project proposal, and it depends on research depth, revisions, and both of our schedules.

What if I'm not sure which service I need?

That's exactly what the discovery call is for. You don't need to arrive with a scope in mind — just tell me where you are and what feels most pressing, and we'll figure it out together.

Not sure where to start?

An inquiry is free, and a discovery call costs nothing but thirty minutes. Tell me about your practice and what feels most pressing.
